I have dreamt of cold places for as long as I can remember - be they high latitude or simply high - and have made it my job to explore them as deeply and intimately as possible. I first visited Antarctica in 2003 as an MSc student at the University of Maine, spending long weeks exploring the peaks and hollows fringing Reedy Glacier in the Transantarctic Mts.
